Take this review with a grain of salt, as I completed this as an audiobook.

I feel like this book failed on three points: character, plot and romance. I'm normally all about vapid main characters, if they are are particularly funny or otherwise endearing. I found Blair Mallory neither. And the "mystery" seemed a total afterthought. The narration of the audiobook may have been its only redemption. The narration was given with a very "Scarlett O'Hara" kind of delivery. And as I imagined the words spoken with any other voice, I would not have been able to tolerate the main character's personality for as long.

Finally, as far as romance was concerned, I felt like the love scenes were ill-conceived (pardon the pun) and unromantic. There were more "love" scenes than plot or character development.
