Ilona and Gordon have done it again; they really do get better with every book. I enjoyed this installment in The Edge series better than the first. I was intriguied by William in On the Edge, and really grew to love him in this one. Cerise was brilliant - strong, feisty and a fitting match for William. I missed Jack and George, but Lark was a strong supporting chaacter that kept me interested. The baddies in this one were fantastic, truly creepy and sinister. The side story was fascinating and different, and more than a bit disturbing.

Had I not had other commitments, this would have been a really quick read.
