Marcelo Sandoval goes through a journey of life similar to that of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. He was protected in his early life by Paterson, a school for the mentally challenged, by his mom and most impotantly by his problems. But his dad is not the type of person that lets him live that way.
Marcelo was pushed to work at the alw firm that his dad owned, and he saw the real world, and it was a lot harder than he could ever imagine. If you were a really slow and ahd to do things you normally wouldn’t and then you have to do it in a limited time, it would pressure you a lot. Thats what Marcelo went througheverday.
In addition to all the work, Marcelo had to deal with Wendell who think he’s a know it all. Wendell pretends to be Marcelo’s friend just to get his hands on Jasmine but Marcelo loved Jasmine too much to let her hands fall into a freak like Wendell.
One day though, something changed his life, like the apples in the Garden of Eden changed Adam and Eve’s lives. As he peered at the picture of the girl whose face is half destroyed, he found his reason to move on in life, to exit the safe haven and be a regular kid. He learns that he can learn a lot more in everyone’s real world, rather than his Eden.
Francisco masterfully combined romance, mystery, adventure and action in to a must read book for all ages.
