Finally a book about rich kids that is actually readable! I probably would not have picked this up at all had I not heard the author read from it himself, but I'm so glad I didn't just lump it in with Gossip Girl and forget about it. Because Gossip Girl it is not! This book is suspenseful, interesting, and relatable. Though I'm clearly not a part of the culture these characters live in, the characters felt real to me, and I found myself flying through the latter half of the book, dying to know what would happen to them next. I read in a few places that this is the first in a series, and I sincerely hope that is true, because while the book satisfied me, it also left me with a lot of unanswered questions that I would love to see explored.

All in all, not the best I've read this year, but definitely something I will recommend around to teens and fellow librarians.
