This is easily the most god-awful true crime book I have read in some time! Instead of the author focusing on the crimes and what follows, the book keeps switching back and forth from the crime story to Dr. Jeffrey MacDonald's first-person rambling about stuff that just isn't interesting or pertinent to the crime. A good example is do readers really need (or want) to know that he had sex under a blanket a few feet from a softball game? I don't think so.

After an hour of this audio book, I feel asleep and that was a good indication to move to something else. Hopefully I can find another book about the MacDonald case because it is a fascinating story (and I seem to recall enjoying the movie), but this book was just crap!
