Rant: An Oral Biography of Buster Casey by Chuck Palahniuk
i loved fight club. i haven't been able to get into any of his fiction since (his two non-fiction works were great).
i read this one and it was amazing. it is written like an oral biography of someone- a collection of interviews from multiple sources- and resultingly the plot exposition is very exciting. i would argue that the entirety of the plot summation revolves around 4 or 5 very well crafted sentances in the interviews with 3-4 of the main speakers in the book. it was great to read and the plot really just wraps itself up in the end and makes a great deal of sense out of what looked before to be disconnected and random.
