100 pounds in one year. That's what I call a 'large-scale' target. And I'm surprised how easily Lucy can stick to her plan and lose several pounds each week. Of course she has a strict dieting plan and workout every morning. Still, it's a lot.
And isn't it surprising that at some point loves comes into play. With her fitness coach, who even likes her when she still has some pounds more on her hips. Why certainly, otherwise he would be a superficial jerk. Instead he is a nice young man studying medicine and caring lovingly for his disabled brother.
And after some ups and downs everything ends well...
Yes, there are some sexy, steamy scenes in there - but I didn't find them being too much. American chick-lit writers can't seem to write novels like this without those kind of descriptions. Or the readership there demands this so often. Probably a bit of both.
