Great book, what I love about this book is that Ella doesn’t have a Prince Charming to save her, It quite ironic because Prince Charming is who she is running away from. Ella thought she loved the Prince but it was just an infatuation and now she tries to dissuade the Prince and tell him she can’t be his princess. The prince being a tyrant and all, has her locked up in dungeon. In which Ella with the help of her friend Mary escapes through the toilet hole! Shocking yes. But Ella has no where to run to, her parents are dead and she is not going back to stepmother house so she goes off to a refuge camp to meet with her friend Jed, whom she met at palace. What I found surprising was Jed proposed to Ella, I personally didn‘t see a romance there. All in all I loved the way Ella saved her self with no help from any boy, and how she doesn’t really know what she wants, she kind of reminds me of Holly from breakfast with tiffany’s , not no where she belongs and trying to find a safe place.
