Read in March, 2005

Any true Red Sox fan has already read this, but for those who haven't: Stephen King and Stewart O'Nan are die hard Sox fans (is there any other kind?). In the spring of 2004, they decided to follow the team through the season, and write a book chronicling both their experiences and that of the team. As luck would have it, the Sox got their act together and won the World Series, leading to some truly delirious email exchanges. The book is worth picking up just for the little detours into guy humor - if there were porn based on the Red Sox (and, hey, there might be), what would it be called?! (My favorite? Please Me, Ortiz Me.) A fun read, filled with typical fan reactions, only better written than anything you've ever yelled at the tv screen or posted in a forum.

Alex "Is there any other kind?"

Sadly, there is now. Sigh. Remember when we were losers?
