I really didn't enjoy this book at ALL. For lots of reasons: all the characters were horrible, the situations were insane and unbelievable, and something about the writing just made me feel slimy and gross. I get that it's written in the "oh my god I had such a reckless, terrifying childhood" class of memoir, but I felt the entire book was flat-out dishonest. I think I got this as a Christmas gift, and actually put it down that afternoon bitter that it had screwed over an otherwise enjoyable day.

I disliked it so much, I won't even try another of his books. This was the rare instance where there won't be a second chance.
