This is a new story about Grandma Dowdel, with a new set of neighbors in her town. The story is set 25 years after the last book, and because Grandma Dowdel is so much older, there is a bittersweetness about the story. She's as feisty as ever, but the book wasn't as laugh-out-loud as the last two. However, the writing is great, the story is interesting, and the ending has a surprise or two.
