The structure of the book worked very well. Winchester, for me, has a great flow with his information and this one affirmed that nicely. You get a great view of Dutch colonialism in the area, some background on geology, and a great final summation of the reintroduction of biota in the area. It's not a page turner but it's not supposed to be. I would have given it four stars but it did drag in parts.
