I still remember reading this book in 5th grade and being both shocked, horrified, and completely delighted by it. The world of "the Edge" is just totally fascinating to me, I loved all the pictures and the creatures and everything! I read more of this series, but this book was definitely my favorite. As I’ve gotten older, it's kind of lost some of it's magic for me, but its still one of my favorite books. I'd recommend it to the age group of 9-12 years, but even if you're older, you'll still enjoy it!
