liked it

Like other folks I really wanted to like this book. I like the premise of being a creative family & creating with your children. I didn't mind the "preachy" voice others found annoying. But I did find that she talked more about the value of being creative and less about specific projects. Lots of ideology, not enough substance. I also felt that she didn't offer enough detail on the projects that are in the book. As a craft novice I really needed the detailed step-by-step. This is not that book. She skips over key information and gives more of an overview than instructions to her project ideas. Maybe I'll revisit this in a few years and see if my opinion changes. In the meantime, I'll find inspiration & instructions for crafts elsewhere.
