I'd actually prefer to have faeries with my history, but I think the lack of narrative momentum or character interest (see 'thin veneer of novel') did me in. The history was interesting.

i thought faeries with my history could be kinda cool, but her style just didn't suit the premise. i was intrigued when you told me about it, but i only got a few pages through before packing it in.
I got a few chapters in, then the dryness killed me. I couldn't care about the characters and that's the knell of death for me.
