Lady Victoria Georgiana Charlotte Eugenie grew up in a castle, always knows what fork to use, and could marry a prince if she'd only say "yes."
Of course, the castle is drafty, the silver forks lift nothing better than baked beans, and the prince has no throne and no sex appeal. From the very first page, Georgie is exceedingly appealing. She's 34th in line for the throne, but she's so penniless that she takes to crashing parties for the food. In 1930s London, there are a great many parties to go to, and Georgie's love life gains momentum even as her pocketbook remains utterly empty. But when her half-brother is suspected of murder, Georgie's best qualities shine forth.

This is a funny book, but there are some great breakdowns of class, privilege, and prejudice hidden amidst the comedy. I can't wait to read the next one!
