Good coming of age story about a real, flawed, jaded young woman in that in between stage of life after graduation about to leave for college. I laughed out loud at Remy's cinical look at everything. I also wanted to shake her silly many times (the parent in me!!) She was mature and smart in so many ways but a scared little chicken to try love because of her mothers history. I would have liked to have seen an example of love around her that showed something long term instead of just her brothers engagement as an atempt at this. I was also thinking that she drank some heavy alcohol for a teenager or an adult for that matter, so I was disapointed that she drank made mistakes and drank again and nothing changed in this regard in the story :( I was dissaponted in the growth of the main character she just took so long to get it and all the under age drinking and driving at some points, I'm not born yesterday, I know teens drink but this wasn't addressed or changed nothing!!!! Dessen is a good writter and I will certainly read more from her though.
