Gives you insight into how bad the drug trade really is-that is-who's getting rich off of it. And the book is a very interesting part of American history as well as Colombian history (and of course it continues today). Pablo was a cynical, monsterous man which frighteningly resembles someone that many strive to be-self made and powerful...the question is "did he have a cause?" other than just fulfilling his own wants? Probably not-despite the fact that he claimed over and over that his way of business and politics was the norm in Colombia-which definitely had a lot of truth to it. I highly recommend this book.
