pretty much a waste of time. You'd think it'd be great but it ain't. He saw so many things he had to turn it into a catalog of one place after another after another, and it turns into an itinerary instead "...and these people burn their dead and are idolators. The next place we came to to was also very rich having many opportunities for trade, particularly in rice wine and birds. All manners of game are found in this place and the people on the whole are thought of as mild of temperament. But what is more to say? Since we have nothing more to add here, besides the fact that I will tell you next, these people are all idolaters and burn their dead, we will have enough of these people, and go on to the next place...." and so on and so on. A mark of someone who was forever checking his purse I think.
