If you have an apple themed day or week this book would fit right in. It is an informative book all about apples. It describes how the seeds from the cores of apples can be planted in the ground to then grow into trees, which produces apples. It always brings up the point that apples some in several different colors. A great activity to go along with that would be to have apples of each color and let the children taste a slice of each color apple and talk about how the flavor and texture or each one if different. The illustrations though out the book are nice and simple with a lot of negative space making this book very easy to look at and easy to understand what is happening on each page.
