what I liked:
* obviously that it is written in beautiful verse!
* a different point of view of the Vietnam War--from the perspective of an adopted Vietnamese boy
* addresses racism and the hostility felt towards Vets, the war, and Vietnamese immigrants
* shows the complex emotions that adoption, war, and being left by parents can inflict on a child

What I didn't like:
* Matt never gets frustrated with his little brother. Not even once! I know the kid has been through a lot and can appreciate more than the regular spoiled American, but come on!
