Remember..."Don't count your chickens before they hatch." ??? How many times I have repeated this sage advise.

As a child, I have watched countless cartoons that have used these fables as the story line.

I am really enjoying reading them. Each little fable is exactly that "little". Steve and I have been reading them together and talking about the moral of the story.

Anyhow, what I did not realize is that many of these fables- that were told orally through the ages- started before Aesop. Many others have had a hand in their translation and from what I understand have been compiled as Aesop's fables.

If it's been awhile OR you have never ventured into the realm of the moral of the story I definately think it is worth the journey!
