This book was a very interesting read. It was not what I thought at all. I didn't read much about it before I began but I thought it would be more like a mystery. The book centers around the abduction and murder of the main characters daughter but these facts become more of a sub-plot. This book is mostly a philosophical look into life after death and the nature of God. Many of the idea's the author presented rang true to my own beliefs or seemed like they could be valid. Many more things were hard to wrap my brain around and did not "jive" with my beliefs about God and the God head. It got to be sappy at times which was frustrating. Overall a rather quick and insightful read but a bit preachy and far fetched.
