Read in October, 2009

I read the Smiley Trilogy out of order starting with Smiley's People (the last one) then moving to Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy, and now finishing up with THS.

While a "taught thriller" for much of the book, the end seems to drag, and at 670 pages, not a big surprise that the action tends to drag on.

Moreover, while I enjoy the fact that Le Carre leaves so much for the reader to figure out by writing as much between the lines as in them - why Nelson Ko was such a big catch for the Circus and Cousins is still a mystery to me after reading the book and checking out additional info on wikipedia.
