Book was described as gritty in a review by the NY Times. I'd concur that this describes the whole series. This one has someone targeting Roarke employees, and although Eve knows who the killer is, she can't find him. I keep reading the series because, for me, the writing is clever and smart, the plots tight and intriguing, and the characters complex and interesting. I love to sink my teeth into a good mystery and this series keeps me well fed. I also find if I need a way to pass the time, one of the "In Death" books will make it fly.
