Sharon Shinn, you’re wonderful. I didn’t think this story was especially great, but I loved the 12 Houses soooo much that just re-visiting the world, and getting to know more about the characters you meet always pleases me. I will always love everything written about the 12 Houses.

Lynn Kurland’s work makes me feel like I’m 14 again and dreaming of falling in love. Her stories are sweet and comforting, and I love her heroines. I
also loved revisiting The Nine Kingdoms and their intricate lore once again.

I bought this book because I love Sharon Shinn, and I have enjoyed the Nine Kingdoms by Kurland. If not for either of these women, I would have given it one star.

Sarah Monette is new to me, but I thought she had a quality to her writing
style. The story was ok, and I might be interested in reading something else by her.

Claire Delacroix, what a ridiculous story! I started reading it almost immediately rolled my eyes. The writing was bad and the story was worse. Let’s just have another desperate virgin fighting her repressed sexual urges and magical power and blah blah blah…
