Wow. I just finished reading this book after getting to the last 20 pages and not being able to read them until now. Heartwrenching, confusing, wonderful, sad and glorious. To compare it to Harry Potter is unfair. Yes, it has a school for magical creatures and a group of misfit students who seem to be more powerful (and/or lucky) than the rest...but you might as well compare it to The Chronicles of Narnia too. It is soo much. It is adventure, it is romance, it is drama, it is comedy, it is (slightly) erotic. So why four stars, Jocardo? Well, sometimes I found myself getting pulled out of the moment and sometimes I found myself saying outloud "really? C'mon!". But I did enjoy it and think that people that like all of the aforementioned books above will enjoy it too.
