I read this in high school for class, and I remembered really liking it, but, at this point, couldn't remember much more than that about it. So I figured it was time for a reread. And you know, it was even better this time through than it was the first, maybe because I'm older now, and I think there was a lot of metaphor that I missed as a youngster. There's a good bit of depth to this book, but even without that, the characters and Knowles' way of describing their antics are really compelling, and it's hard not to fall a little in love with Phineas; I have a real soft spot for poor old Leper as well. It's a fantastic book, and I will definitely be reading it again.
