The Blind Assassin is an unfailingly beautiful book. Atwood weaves the story of Iris and Laura Chase through multiple narratives in such a way that although I was eager to race through the plot and find out what happened, I also wanted to luxuriate in the prose and savor the pieces of plot as they were revealed little by little. This is the second Atwood novel I've read (Lady Oracle being the other) - I can't wait to make my way through more of her work. Next up will be Oryx and Crake. It's only been collecting dust on my "to-read" shelf for about five years now.

Melissa.s I adore this novel. I've taught it once and it worked really well. ;-)
