From the very first sentence, the narrator's voice is compelling, wondering, fascinating, and simply draws you in. Oskar is funny, he is sad, he is angry, he is interesting. He is smart, he is oblivious, he is loving, he is confused. He searches for an answer to a mystery that he essentially makes up, he doesn't realize that an answer to a true mystery is right in front of his face; he misses family, he misunderstands family.

So sad, yet so beautiful.
