Roald Dahl is my favorite author of all time. From his children books to his teenage books I always am amused when reading them. Going Solo is a great book depicting Dahl's effort to help fight in the the second world war. From the time he embarked the ship leaving England to when he first got into his Tiger Moth at flight training Dahl kept me interested in his life through comedy and suspense.

My favorite part of the book the chapter was Survival. I like the way how Dahl describes the pain he feels and how he was able to describe the crash. My favorite part of this chapter is how he describes his imagination of the nurse that comes to take care of him everyday in the hospital after the crash. He describes her as a famous actress and how she was there when he was first able to see again.

This is a very great book for both young and old. Roald Dahl is a fantastic author and shows it in this book.
