it was amazing

Many people talk about writing or wanting to write books of interelated flash fictions and often this impulse seems to stem from some insecurity in the form, as if in order to interest readers in FF you have to present it to them masquerading as a novel. There are many interelations in the very short pieces that make up AM/PM, but these are no masquerades. First, the stories stand up on their own; you could read only one and be charmed, or wonderfully, horribly heart-sunk, or left with some small, strange, pinpoint insight. Second, the interelations mean something in this book, they build on each other, or take away from each other, or echo and interfere, love and insanity, hope and delusion, life.
