Decent read. Nothing in this book that made me sit up and take notice. So much changes in Persephone's world before the story even starts and she goes through so many emotional obstacles. Problem is, Persephone's pov doesn't stand out enough to make me care, which means everybody else is uninteresting. Also, all the psychoanalysis scenes (between her and her spirit guides, and between her and her friends and family) feel forced, like the author wanted to make Persephone's need to help people clear, but didn't know any other way to show it. The main plotline seems to be Persephone coming to terms with her dark side and her changing life, but the emotional weight of that journey really got watered down with everything else the author threw in, like the destiny thing and the "love" interests.
