Wow, this book was really interesting. I'll admit, I have sometimes thought about what it would be like to cross-dress and experience the world as the opposite gender (like the author, I have the kind of body where it would be possible to fool people), but never considered actually doing it. Her experiences were interesting, though obviously they are examples of the most exaggerated places to find male behavior.

I wonder what a book from the opposite point of view would be like -- a man cross dresses and infiltrates a women's book club, becomes an AVON lady, joins a Bunco club, and hangs out at a shelter for battered women . . . hmmm, is that deception worse? Anyway, I'll be thinking about this book and gender issues for a while, now.
