As usual, Lilith Saintcrow does a wonderful job with her rich descriptions and prose. The relationships between the paranormal beings, shifters and hunters and Hellbreed and traders is exotic. She's dark, dark, dark, as always. Unfortunately her love interest was mostly not present in this story, although Lili did a good job keeping him alive in ours and the heroine's mind. I thought the plot was a little ocnfusing and drawn out, but generally solid. You have to like the tortured heroine thing a lot with her novels because it goes on constantly. However, I think I do see the character's growth. All in all, if you like Lilith Saintcrow, a good novel.
