    <body><![CDATA[Sure, raise an eyebrow, but please consider that this book merits more than a quick, bemused perusal at Borders. Each detail on stripclubs and performers is very funny, to be sure; but upon closer reading, I was surprised by the Didion-esque undertone that creeps in as Diablo evokes her lonely winter nights in Minneapolis's Warehouse district and Uptown, and the soul-crush of cubicle work. Her specificity goes both ways: to the ridiculous and the sublime.]]></body>
