The concluding volume to Ellroy's astonishing and astounding Underworld USA trilogy. A deeply engrossing re-telling of the 60s and the interesection of crime, politics, and law enforcement. Ellroy's take on politics is deeply disturbing, paranoid and ultimately convincing. He is an amazing writer and his style stuns and absorbs.
