This was quite the adventure story! This book was a perfect example of a literary narrative non-fiction adventure story. The book describes the explorer, Percy Fawcett, who disappeared looking for the Lost City of Z in the amazon in 1927. As the author, David Grann, tells the history of exploration in the Amazon, around the world, the Royal Geographic Society and the City of Z (or El Dorado), he also manages to tell his own personal story. Grann describers his own attempts, and those before him, to discover what really happend to Fawcett on his final expedition. The book keeps you intrigued with the idea that the ending will reveal Fawcett's location -- it's a non-fiction thriller!
