it was ok
bookshelves: 2009

There were some parts of this book that were fascinating, but many parts that were dragged down by constant lists and names of people. There's a tendency to want to include EVERYTHING in a biography, which means that it can be tedious reading. I liked reading the excerpts from Dian's diary and descriptions of her research, although I did find many details of her personal life to be fascinating. I would have liked this book if it was shorter and took less tangents, but it's hard to do that with a biography.
