I really enjoyed this book, and even though I don't read a lot of sci-fi I do love dystopian societies and this one fit the bill. In a town of men infected with the noise germ, Todd is the only boy until he meets a very silent girl. The two are forced on an unlikely journey where Todd discovers the secret to manhood in his society. This is a suspenseful and wonderful read for teen girls and boys alike who enjoy books such as the Hunger Games or authors such as Scott Westerfeld.
