This was by far the better book of the two I've now read by Christina Schwarz. The first was So Long at the Fair and I hated it. I am glad I gave her a chance to redeem herself.

Drowning Ruth starts off with a nice little teasing bit of mystery and keeps up a good pace throughout the book. The story isn't anything new and exciting - it's been told in various forms many times, but the writing and the twists and turns kept me entertained enough.
