Mary Stewart is a master at writing exotic settings. I could not help thinking about this book as I was reading something recently that was supposed to be set in Rome. I kept forgetting that it was supposed to be in Rome and then some mention of Rome would remind me. Here you do not forget for one minute that you are on an island in Greece. I felt like I was there.
It is about a young actress visiting her sister on the island of Corfu.
She swims with a dolphin, gets shot at, finds a body washed up on the beach, meets her mysterious neighbors and finds herself caught up in a dangerous mystery. Loved Max and the dolphin rescue.
I loved the references to Shakespear's The Tempest. Made me want to go back and reread it.

Alyson Mary Stewart is one of my all-time favorite writers. I love the way she evokes a setting, the way all the information she gives ties in, the way she doesn't take 800 pages to set up and then wind up a story.
