Sometimes I like to listen to historical murder mysteries. I don't know why. I think it is similar to watching reality tv shows. I expect it to be entertaining and different from what I normally read/watch. That being said I don't feel the need to critique this novel in the same way I would a book I hoped would be literarily stimulating.

The book was researched, it was interesting, there was no gross chicklit romance (You know who you are Monster of Templeton).

The point of view was interesting. The author was writing/speaking to someone as if she were explaining her actions.

Overall it was a good read, about halfway through I was looking forward to knowing how everything would unfold.

It had the typical page(s) long discription of what you may have missed when the narrator pieces everything together.

It was entertaining.
