The Rum Diary: A Novel
by Hunter S. Thompson
Hi Juliana! Nice to meet you. If you want to delve into Thompson a bit more, a less obvious choice is The Great Shark Hunt. It's a collection of shorter reporting pieces (including the classic "The Kentucky Derby is Decadent and Depraved).
