It's an interesting story and uncovered a portion of history I wasn't very familiar with, but it's a bit raw. Some editing would have done the book wonders. The writer tends to re-use phrases or repeat herself quite a bit. I ended up getting deja-vu about every other page...and not in a good way. If you leave out all the phrases that should have been marked out and ignore some weird tangents and jumps, it's a decent read. Could have been great. The Publisher's Weekly review was dead-on "fresh if not always coherent."
