I just loved this book. Really, I never was a huge follower of Julia Child. But with out knowing much about her I appretiated this book for so many reasons. First, was the fact that she moved to a new country and learned the language and culture through food, shopping and connecting with the local mercahants. second, that she realizes just how much practice and mistakes making goes into learning something new (like cooking). Third, she loved to have fun and explore. In so many ways I can relate to her right now given my current life situation. I think one of my favorite things about the book was the intermingling of her husbands photos. They are just beautiful and really gives you a deep appretiation for their relationship. Overall a great and entertainig read.
