Robin Marie's Reviews > Push
If you can read this book without being filled with rage, nausea, despair and a profound desire to fight for good then you need to have your head checked. Push is a novel only by literary classification, though I wish it weren't so. Push tells the tragic, horrific but occasionally uplifting story of a young girl, a child really, and her struggles with poverty, abuse, illiteracy and motherhood. Her story is that of many young girls, hers is not so fictional as we would like to believe. It is by no means a "fun" read, but it is enlightening and moving.
