Riley is a gal you just have to love. She is always put in the most difficult situations, and she still tries to do what is right. The tension in this book starts about 1/3rd of the way in and doesn't stop until the end of the book. There are a lot of things I'd love to talk about, but I'll leave the spoilers out. I am just left with one question...

Where is the knife? I didn't miss it. I went back and read the last chapter just to be sure. That will be answered, right? It'll be driving me nuts for a while!

One thing I love about this series is that there isn't a nice neat tidy ending. Life is tough and sloppy, and so is Riley's world. There aren't clear cut easy paths to take. I really like that about Arthur's writing. It is really easy to get into the emotions of the book because they are believable. I will be eagerly awaiting Riley 9 due out Summer 2010
