An intriguing story about a quaint neighborhood in New England where a widower becomes pregnant. Many questions arise as her husband has been dead for over a year. The book alternates between the point of view of all characters and shows how three of her neighbors wonder if their husband is the father. It delves into how this suspicion pulls some couples together and tears some apart. I liked how it delved deeply into one couple's intense stress and pain over infertility.
