Read in September, 2009

This is the story of 4 pairs of Chinese-American mothers and daughters, and the events that shaped their lives. Their stories weave in and out of each other, and at times this made it hard for me to keep track of who was who. Overall, the stories are heartwarming and tragic, and I like the focus on mother-daughter relationships. The characters are very-well developed and believable. I enjoyed this book, and would like to reread it one day.
